Her Majesty Queen Sonja has been personally involved with the Queen Sonja Singing Competition since its beginning in 1988. The Queen has presented prizes at all competitions to date, except in 2021 due to Covid-19. The prizes include original artwork made by Her Majesty Queen Sonja.
