The prizewinners also receive artwork made by HM Queen Sonja, and are offered soloist engagements in QSIMC’ prizewinner concerts. Participants and prizewinners may be offered concert engagements with international orchestras and opera houses.

Applications for the 2019 Competition are welcome from all singers born after 1 January 1987 and the application window is open between 15 February and 1 April 2019.

5-6 exceptional singers will be selected to perform in the final concert at the spectacular Norwegian National Opera & Ballet on Oslo’s waterfront. International agents, artist managers, casting directors, opera directors and other music industry representatives are invited to attend the concert. HM Queen Sonja will award the prizes.
