Meet the 2021 finalists

Sunday 24 October 2021, 12 exceptional singers performed operatic arias and Lieder during this year’s live and online semi-final.

After a day stacked with impressive performances, the international jury has chosen 6 finalists.

We are thrilled to present the six finalists in the Queen Sonja International Music Competition 2021 (in alphabetical order):

3. Inna Demenkova, soprano, Russia (1995)
4. Maria Motolygina, soprano, Russia (1990)
5. Liv Redpath, soprano, USA (1992)
6. Brent Michael Smith, bass, USA (1990)

A huge congratulations to all six, and thank you so much to all twelve semi-finalists for amazing performances!

The final concert will take place in the Grieg Hall in Bergen 20 November.
