An update on the 2021 finalists
Due to the changes of this year’s competition dates, the American soprano Liv Redpath is unfortunately not able to participate in the final concert 20 November. Her place in the final therefore goes to the Norwegian soprano Lydia Hoen Tjore, who was next in line after the jury’s voting in the semi-final.
This year’s final concert was originally planned to be held in Oslo on 20 August, but due to the ongoing travel restrictions in Norway at that time, the dates of the competition were changed. Due to the date changes, the American soprano Liv Redpath is unfortunately not able to participate in the final concert in Bergen 20 November due to another commitment. Both she and the competition are very happy that she decided to perform in the semi-final anyway, which she obviously did very well.
Liv Redpath’s place in the final therefore goes to the Norwegian soprano Lydia Hoen Tjore, who was next in line after the jury’s voting in the semi-final. We wish to thank Liv Redpath for her wonderful performances and for our pleasant conversations, and congratulations to Lydia Hoen Tjore with a place in the 2021 final!
