Preliminary rounds: Who sings when, and how to see it live!
This is it! The day of initiating the Queen Sonja Singing Competition 2025 is finally arriving. From 500 applicants, 39 singers from 22 countries will perform live in the online preliminary rounds 11-12 June.
Join us in the unique opportunity to discover young, rising opera stars! Out of the 39 talents, 12 singers will move on to the semi-final in Oslo in August.
On Wednesday 11 June and Thursday 12 June, our wonderful singers will perform live in the online preliminary rounds.
The performances will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel.
Schedule and order of appearance
39 contestants will be narrowed down to 12 for the semi-final in Oslo on Sunday, August 17th. From here, only 6 finalist will reach the coveted Grand Final at on August 22nd.
