Kathleen O'Mara is the winner of Queen Sonja Singing Competition 2025!

Kathleen O’Mara won 1st prize (€50,000) in this year’s Queen Sonja Singing Competition. The American soprano also received a diploma with an artwork by Her Majesty Queen Sonja.
H.M. Queen Sonja was present at the final concert in the Oslo Concert Hall and presented the prizes. The American Jasmin White (1st prize 2023), served as presenter during the concert. The finalists were accompanied by the Oslo Philharmonic conducted by Nicholas Carter.
Meridian Prall (mezzo-soprano) from the USA was awarded the 2nd prize (€10,000), while Pawel Horodyski (bass) from Poland was awarded 3rd prize (€5,000).
Three finalist Prizes (EUR 1.500 each) were awarded to: Vladyslav Buialskyi (baritone) from Ukraine, Hannah Edmunds (soprano) from Norway and Justyna Khil (soprano) from Poland

Third Prize winner: Pawel Horodyski (bass, Poland)
Winner of the Ingrid Bjoner Scholarship: Hannah Edmunds (soprano, Norway)
