An update on the 2021 competition

An update on the 2021 competition

The new dates for the digital preliminary rounds have been moved to 14th and 15th August 2021.

The semifinals and finals are currently planned for 24th October and 20th November respectively. Twelve semifinalists will be invited to Oslo to perform in with pianists in October. Six finalists will perform operatic arias with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Mark Elder in Grieghallen, Bergen

Should the pandemic cause any further restrictions, alternative solutions and dates for the semifinals and finals may be considered.

These days, our main priority is to secure the digital preliminary rounds with our smashing 40 selected singers from 20 nations.

We wish to give an extra attention and thanks to Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra for hosting the finals concerts in Grieghallen in Bergen 20th November.
