Inga Lohne-Otterstad

Voice: Soprano
Inga Lohne-Otterstad is a 22-year-old soprano from Oslo. In the autumn of 2022, she began her bachelor’s degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music with Ann-Helen Moen. This past year, she has been on exchange at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, studying with Tuva Semmingsen and Susanna Eken.
Despite her young age, Lohne-Otterstad has performed as a soloist with some of Norway’s leading orchestras, including the Oslo Philharmonic, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Opera Orchestra at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Oslo Symphony Orchestra, and Ringerike Symphony Orchestra.
She has also sung roles both at the main and smaller stages of the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, both as a singer in the Opera’s Children’s Chorus and as a soloist: «Jano» in Jenůfa, «Cinderella» in Davies’ Cinderella, «The Child» in Wallin’s Elysium, and «Erste Knabe» in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, among others.
Inga also has choral experience from Solistkoret UNG, the Norwegian Youth Choir, and Copenhagen-based ÆTLA.
The young soprano is eager to explore styles and repertoire, and wants to use her time as a student to gain musical experience and develop a flexible and healthy instrument.
