Una Kristín Kristjánsdóttir

Una Kristín Sagatun Kristjánsdóttir is a 23-year-old soprano from Norway and Iceland. She recently completed her bachelor’s degree in classical vocal performance at the Grieg Academy in Bergen, under the guidance of Hilde Haraldsen Sveen, with whom she will continue her master’s studies.
Kristjánsdóttir has taken part in a range of opera and concert projects, both as a soloist and as a member of ensembles and larger choirs. Notably, she performed as an ensemble soloist in Ingrid fra Barrøy, an opera by Gisle Kverndokk and Ivar Tindberg, during Nordland Musikkfestuke and Bodø2024, and held a leading role in the opera The Yellow Wallpaper by Ana Maria Oancea and Stephan Teuwissen.
She has also sung in the chorus of several productions by Bergen Nasjonale Opera, including Die Fledermaus, which was nominated for the Norwegian Critics’ Prize for Music 2023–2024.
On Norway’s National Day in 2023, Kristjánsdóttir appeared as a soloist with the Arctic Philharmonic and conductor Anna Maria Helsing at Stormen Concert Hall in Bodø. In spring 2024, she gave several solo performances, including in the “Stikk Innom” concert series during Festspillene i Bergen, and at the 750th anniversary celebration of the Landlov in Håkonshallen, alongside Frode Thorsen and Jostein Gundersen.
Kristjánsdóttir has also participated in several international masterclasses, such as the Voksenåsen Summer Academy and the Skagen International Masterclass, studying with renowned vocal pedagogues including Susanna Eken, Anne Margrethe Dahl, and Randi Stene.
