Ilmi Knudsen

Voice: Mezzo-soprano

Ilmi Cathrine Gutzeit Knudssen (b. 2000) is a mezzo-soprano from Oslo. She is currently studying classical singing at the University of Tromsø and will be an exchange student at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki next year. During her studies, she has performed several concerts with Edvard Grieg’s Haugtussa and taken on significant roles in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and Carlisle Floyd’s opera Susannah. In the summer of 2025, she will perform the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni in a production in Viterbo, Italy. Additionally, she has been an active participant in the Nivalis Baroque Academy and in several masterclasses with Elisabeth Norberg-Schulz and Matthew Mariott. Ilmi has also contributed to organizing several successful concerts in Tromsø, including a Christmas concert in Tromsø Cathedral and a concert featuring music from Studio Ghibli films.
