Fredrikke Corneliussen

Voice: Mezzosoprano

Fredrikke Corneliussen is a 19 year old mezzosoprano from Oslo, Norway, and studies classical singing at Barratt Due institute of music. She has always loved and enjoyed singing. Her parents noticed her joy for singing and suggested that she should join a choir, which she really wanted. They were recommended the Norwegian girls choir, conducted by AnneKarin Sundal-Ask. She auditioned at 8 years old, and got in.

In the choir, she has participated in many exciting concerts, festivals, tours and jobs. Her time in the girls choir has been a solid foundation for her as a singer, where she has gotten a great education on musical quality and expression. In the choir she had voice lessons with Live Maartmann, where she was introduced to classical solorepertoire and opera. Live was the one encouraging her to apply for further studies in singing and in 2023 she started her bachelor at Barratt Due, with the voice teacher Solveig Kringlebotn.

Her participation in the Operaacademy, her studies, and that she recently was offered a position in the Norwegian youth soloist choir, gives her many opportunities to develop further as a singer. She looks forward to see what a future as a singer may give!
